Smoke em if you got em! Love the smoked trout dip made from these local caught trout.
We "only" landed 78 brown and rainbow trout during a evening of float fishin between my father, brother, a myself the other day. The main reason my father taught both us boys to row a raft down class 3-4 whitewater when we were 12 is so he could get some time behind the pole and not the oars! Sorry for the short hijack but I dont think he ever imagined it would also lead us into whitewater like this in our "older" age LOL!

Yes a few times. I've landed 2 in Boca Grande fishing at night. I'm sure finsandtines can tell you why I fished Boca Grande at night.

You are correct. It's a rodeo literally. Even at night it is bad but not near as bad as during the day. The true old timers won't hardly fish during the day.
Finsandtines I fish out of Tampa quite a bit. Nowadays though it's off Anna Marie Island. We catch some nice snook and Reds down there. Usually fish there at least every spring.

Great area, fished here for 30+ years. Fished tarpon there in Anna Maria many times, 30 minute or so boat ride from my base boat ramp.

Next time I'm down that way I may pm you. Still haven't fished for tarpon there. My buddies own a house and boat (Ranger center console) down there. They've had it about a year now. We are still learning the area and how to fish it at different times of the year. May need some of your local knowledge, if your willing and able?

Matt, maybe I'll have some fish pictures next week. My buddy called yesterday he and his son got into some salmon on Thursday biggest 28lbs all caught mooching on light weight steelhead rods with 14lb. test line. Nothing hut fun.

Heck yea. I hope to see some pics soon. I'm in WI visiting in-laws. No fishing even though we are on Lake Waubesa in McFarland. None of my in-laws knows anything about hunting or fishing
