I had a real fun fishing trip for King Salmon a week or two ago. We caught and released a bunch of Kings, nothing big, all under 25 pounds, but had a blast. I only keep them for my wife, she likes Salmon. I only like them if they don't taste like Salmon.

AK & Elk trout, great looking fish. I should already be salmon fishing off Bodega Bay but water temps are up and the fish are hiding! Thanks for sharing. AK, I always look forward to viewing your pictures!

Hiked into the Encampment River Wilderness this weekend for some fishing. Caught a pile of fish although nothing big, mostly in the 10-12" range. Didn't take any pics of fish cause I didn't want to risk drowning my phone while I was wading. Tested out one of my new fly patterns in there, this little guy was responsible for landing 12 fish alone! I'd say it's a keeper.

Very cool pictures, that's a colorful fly, is it you're own creation? Fly fishing is on my bucket list!
Yeah, I tie most of my own flies. This is a woven (Polish) mayfly nymph variant which I've been using quite a bit recently in different color combinations. They are kind of a pain to tie but they're very durable and they work. :)

German Brown Trout mount Christmas 2013.jpgJoyce and same trout June 25 (2).jpg

Seeing all these Browns, just had to show the one my wife caught a couple of years ago. She was using one of my special "Garden Hackles". A great big night crawler that I inflated so it would float up off the bottom. I surprised her with a mount of it for Christmas. Took all the dimensions & pictures and had a replica made. We also have a 50+ pound bull Dorado on the wall she caught in Cabo. She loves to fish!!

Just got back from a little vacation up in the Pacific Northwest. Took a half day to try my hand at some offshore fishing. 29' boats and huge waves made for an interesting day... And an empty stomach. But, I had a blast. Those Kings and Coho's look pretty neat slicing through the water.

Can I get about 100 dozen of that fly? Looks like a great pattern and with the woven body I'm sure you know I'm kidding. Good job! Sure looks like a fine piece of water.

Took my son on his first offshore fishing trip off Florida's space coast near Cape Canaveral. Our boat of 6 caught our limit on king mackerel and we were able to lure a cobia off a stingray to complete the trip.

Here's a video I saw a couple weeks ago that you guy's might enjoy
Lmao! I love it. Glad this is on the hunting forum. This is why I fish the Madison in October. We go only to throw the big bugs. No 7X tippet for this guy. Straight stout 6 wt. rod 3X Tippett and articulated streamers here. This is something I wish you hadn't let out of the bag. Hope no one from a fly fishing forum see's this. This has been a little secret of mine for awhile(not really a secret to locals). Good thing is the elitist turn their noses up to this style of fishing.

Your my type of guy. May have to head up to the "Mighty Mo" this year to chunk some fur, feathers, flashabou, and marabou. I have to admit I'm addicted! I'm a junkie.

Hi, I've been out visiting a few places in the last month. Here's some pictures of my recent trips... I visited Utah, and some of my local home waters here in the Eastern Sierras. I fly fish, practice c&r, and even tie a few bugs. Enjoy the pics!image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
