Very nice, congratulations! I have hunted that area with an outfitter and it certainly is full of antelope, but not a lot of public land. I am looking at a DIY hunt for next year there so good to hear you were successful, how far did you need to hike to get away from the crowds?

We hunted all public land, we had to hike for it but it was worth it.

We hiked between 1-3 miles in most days. Honestly where we were at you only had to hike a few hundred yards to get away from most people. Everyone that we saw were either hunting from the truck or a short distance from it. I didn't see any other hunters taking packs in to pack out meat either. If you're willing to hike you won't have any problems.

I didn't think there was much public land to hunt in region C. Hiking is half of the fun I think
