My first antelope hunt will be in 2017, I bought a point last year and applied for one this year with my tags. I chose Unit 63 1st, 73 2nd, and 25 3rd. I've talked to several people over the passed couple of years and the general consensus is as long as you are in Wyoming you have a decent chance to kill an antelope. Finding public access seems to be the largest problem. Good Luck.

I currently have 2 antelope points. May get a third before applying. I wouldn't even know where to start looking. Maybe 2018 will be my year.

Steveo,
You may want to look at your draw choices again if you plan to draw this year. If I am reading the 2016 draw odds correctly the 3 options you applied for all drew out at 1st choice and it looks like you would need at least 4 PPs for your 1st and 2nd choice unless you are applying for the special permit fee. Even than you it looks like you need at least 2 PPs.

Also, you will only have 1 PP going into this years draw. The point you applied for this year will only be given to you if you are unsuccessful with your 1st choice and will not impact and of your choices in this years draw.

With 7 pp pick a unit with fewer tags and better hunting. Why battle 750-1,000 other people for a buck when some great units with good access have less tags and better hunting. Just because a unit doesn't have a 500 tags doesn't mean the antelope numbers are way down. Shop around for some smaller areas that have good trophy potential. Also look at areas with longer seasons, into late Oct. , bigger bucks seem to just show up after the first part of the rut when most have already filled their tags.
