First scouting trip

Headed up to New Mexico unit 37 for my first scouting trip of the season. I may leave some trail cams in place just to see whats going on up there.

If anyone has had any experience in this unit please let me know. I was fortunate enough to draw a muzzleloader elk tag up there this year.

made it to my hunt area

I was able to make it up to NM unit 37. The area looked really good. Lots of deer were spotted but no elk. We'll see what happens come October.

Did you find some spots to leave trail cams?

I did not leave any trail cams on this trip. This was my first trip up to this unit so I just wanted to narrow things down a bit. I now have specific areas I want to concentrate on so next time I'll leave some cams in place.
