Got into my area on Friday and few to pressure quickly marked off spots A and B. Went to a basin at the end of a trail that only had one camp on it, right at dark spotted 2 bulls and a group of cows at the very top of the mountain, Saturday morning we got up 4 hrs before daylight ( being from Tennessee I knew it would be a chore to get up there) we could hear him bugling in the dark. Alittle after legal shooting time they came out.
It took my wife and I 2 days to get him out (which I am actually surprised we were able to accomplish that, thanks to great packs and a snow sled)
He is a 5x5, which any diy legal bull in an area you have never stepped foot in is a trophy.

Pictures will have to wait till we get home next week

Congratulations on a job well done! Your experience packing that bull out shows the reality of the hard work once an elk is down. I'm happily jealous of you guys!

Thanks guys, It was a very rewarding experience, and I am very lucky to have a wife that enjoys the time and work outdoors.
