Does anyone have experience using the vapor or seak rain jacket? I can't decide if I need the heavier one for spring bear hunting or if it will be to hot and heavy to backpack.

The seak was designed for Alaska type rain. Constant heavy downpour. It's not going to breathe as well as the vapor. So it will depend what climate you mainly will use it in...If doing a lot of hiking and don't expect days upon days of rain, I'd lean towards the vapor.

I have the stormlight. It's the most breathable rain jacket I've ever owned I really like the fit of it. In the next couple of weeks I'll get out in some wet weather and put it to the test. One of my friends I hunt with has the stormtight and it a thicker jacket that's not as breathable it has more pockets and pit zips. It's not as packable as the stormlight.

sunday, I was home doing chores in the snow and it rained all day. It was one of those days that I pulled out the rubber and it was the best rain gear to use. You really need different styles of rain gear for different situations. But I also live in a place that gets a lot of rain.
