A little pre-scouting in unit 81 Colorado and unit 52 in New Mexico at the end of the month. I will be looking for good bulls, good bucks, and big bear. Maybe get in some coyote hunting in Colorado. This is not a substitute for hunting but exploring is fun just the same. Maybe get some wildlife pictures. I plan to stay up to two weeks.

Take your fishing rod and don't forget Trujillo Meadows State Wildlife area. That's where my wife caught this nice Brown last year. It's still in the lake as far as I know. 
Yes Sir CC, I had my waders out and I don't know if I can still climb up toward Dipping Lakes or not just have to see how it goes. I will look for that fish and put it back if I get lucky.

Awesome trout fishing at rio de los pinos! Probly a big bear there also...I will be hunting bulls in unit 52 in oct and I cant wait! Echo canyon lake also has some awesome largemouth bass!
Right swampokie, that's one place to look for big bear. There will be a bear in there, just might not be large. Last big bear I found, was at head of Brazos, he also used over the ridge and down Arkansas Creek. I do believe we traveled some of the same trails.
