I'm seriously thinking of trying for this tag, have never hunted in any of the Jarbidge area. If not this year next year for sure. Just wondering who has experience in the early archery season (August) up there? I've really wanted to learn the area and have a few buddies who hunt the area but not that early. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I hunted there years ago for rifle deer. I'll ask around for you and see if anyone knows about it.

When you say Jarbidge, are you talking East side of town and the wilderness (072) or West side and kind of more accessible (071).

61 has a lot of cow elk. Saw a bunch up there last year Deer hunting. Supposedly a bunch over in 71 as well. The hunter info sheets are fairly accurate.

Plenty of elk, would be a good hunt. I have applied 2nd draw for this hunt many times, just never drew. Would be applying again if I didn't already draw a rifle cow tag. If you get the tag, PM me and I can try to answer any questions you may have about the area.

I've hunted bulls in 071 and there are plenty if elk. If you draw in the 2nd, just throw me a message and I can give some good pointers.

Bingo! Lucked out, any info would be great. I've never hunted in the Jarbidge area and plan on getting up a few days before season opens. Thanks again in advance.
