Exped DownMat ??

Anyone used the Exped DownMat? Air mattress with goose down.

The downmat from exped is a great piece if you are looking to stay the warmest at cold temps. The only thing that I am not a fan of is the weight of it. You are at 44 ounces for that pad, pretty heavy but with a R value of 8 you are not gonna do any better. If you still wanted a insulated pad but at a fraction of the weight the NeoAir from thermarest is the way to go. The regular length weights only 14 oz. and has a R value of 2.5. Both great pads just depends if you want more warmth. hope this helps

I've had GREAT luck out of a the NeoAir from Cascasde designs. The pad is amazing. Under 15 oz for the long size. Not very wide, but very comfortable and lightweight.

I have the Exped Synmat 7. It is well insulated and comfy. It is a bit heavy but packs small. Also, a bit noisy when moving around. The price was right at the time.
