Going on my first NM adventure and 3rd elk hunt ever. Hunted in Colorado in the past and harvested a 5x5 in a high success area. Well bling luck got me a second season archery tag in 16B. Decided to hire an experienced guide, but just curious on what to expect with anyone that has experience in this unit. Thanks ahead for all the help, I am super excited for this great opportunity!!

I've hunted C and we hunted on the border of c and b. I would say 330-350 is very reasonable with the chance of a real monster thrown in the mix. It's gorgeous country and with an outfitter I would assume he would be able to get u way in with horses but where we were I think u coulda walked in a couple miles and been in elk. Rough country as well in places
