I have been researching new packs and during my research I discovered Exo Mountain Packs. They are a newer company and the only reviews I can really find on them is by people who somehow are associated with them. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has used one of their packs (or know someone who has) and can give an honest review.

Here is there website if it helps:

I am looking for a good back country pack for 3 to 5 day hunts, but could also be used for a good day pack as well. I have been using my Gregory Z55 for the last few years and have really liked the light weight and comfortable fit. I just wish it was a little easier to haul meat with my gear. Any info is helpful, thanks.

I have one of the first run 3500 in foliage. I have hauled 2 elk and 2 Caribou in it. I was going to do a review after the season. You can pm me any questions. I have used Eberlestock and Badlands before this pack and its night and day difference.

My buddy I hunted with this year has the 3500 and it was awesome. I wanted to trade with him. I plan on buying the 5500 soon. I tried on the pack and it fits well and puts the weight on your hips. Also adjusts nicely depending on the weight.

Yeah, I'm kind of intrigued by the new Exo packs. I was dead set on getting a Stone Glacier, but now I'm re-thinking it. Anyone have experience with both? I believe the Exo is slightly heavier than the 5100 Sky I was looking at with Stone Glacier (maybe a pound if I remember right) , but I'm curious about the comfort factor, ease of use, and load reliability. The several hundreds of dollars lower price tag caught my eye as well. Just curious how they stack up, because I can't try either of them on before hand (bummer).

The Exo is the first real hunting pack I have used. So I can't help you with the differences. Take a look at the Rokslide forum there is some guys who have used the EXO along with the other high end packs. Also there has to be some people in your area with the packs you want to look at (maybe not the new Stone Glacier). There are going to be quite a few guys going to SLC for the Western Sportsman Show in February. Just start a thread and see if any one wants to bring their pack for you to see. Also some of the manufacturers might be at the show.
