I really appreciate the two-part article "In Defense of Hunting" that appears in the MRS of the latest issues of EHJ and EBJ. Hopefully most of you have had a chance to read it. There is another thread that briefly mentions the article, but I feel it deserves more attention. Dave Hoshour provides great history, facts, and examples that give perspective to the value and need for hunting. It is very comprehensive and well-written. Thanks to Dave for writing it and to Eastmans' for publishing it in the 2-part format across the Hunting and Bowhunting journals.

Gonna read part 2 while in the bear stand tomorrow. Can't wait to read it. From what I have read in part one, a lot of people need to read it and be educated on the need for hunting.
