Can someone school me on Wyomings type 9 season. From the looks of things we have enough points to draw 39, but Im confused with type 9 archery season, if we draw 39, can we just buy at type 9 archery license?

Type 9 is different from the archery permit. I think that unit you can either draw the type 9 or buy the archery permit with the type one or whatever. I think in that one the type 9 gets you a couple extra weeks over the permit archery season. But I didn't look again.

If you want to bow hunt 39 you'll have to draw the type 9. It's one of a few units that you can't draw a type 1 and buy an archery permit for. And if you get a type 9 you can't do rifle later.

Regs are different than the hunting app booklet. A little note in the nr book would help to clarify. Moving the NR Elk draw would also allow them to have one book/regs.

A type 9 license is archery only and only good in the September bow season. No additional archery permit is needed, you will have to get a conservation stamp also. The type 9 doesn't give you any rifle hunting options though
