Elk Targets??? Anyone??

Has anyone been able to find life size elk paper targets? If not, does anyone have a good technique for making them? I thought it would be fun to shoot at life size elk targets this summer as my wife and I get ready for our fall hunt. I think it would be especially beneficial to her as she has never hunted elk.

Thanks Don. I'll likely end up making one of these. Hard to believe that nobody has made life size elk paper targets. You would think there would be a market for them?

I'd go with thin plywood, maybe even low density paneling or foam board. Make the oopsies less expensive.

This site doesn't have any paper targets? This is all 3D archery stuff... My wife and I are going on a rifle elk hunt.

I would do the plywood cutout and paint it personally. I've not seen any elk poorer targets that are actual size. I have seen deer, but that was years ago.

On the PW cutout. I'd additionally cut out the vitals and use paper stapled to the backside of the vitals "hole" to see where you are hitting ect....
