Elk Meat- Staple or treat?

Staple for our family. Gotten lucky the last two years and had plenty of elk meat to get us through the year. I like elk burger way better than beef burger

I hope for it to become a staple in our house now that I'm living in Idaho and can at least hunt OTC units!

Elk meat is a staple for me and my wife to the extent that beef now tastes "gamey" to us. We've been on a success streak, so we're usually giving away some to our parents. We highly respect the wild game and make sure none goes to waste, so in that sense, it's also a treat.
