DIY, we have a great spot for deer between Stanford & Denton a few miles from Sqaure Butte. The area we hunt deer is a special draw with little chance for an out of state hunter to darw a tag for elk. The area of "Kings Hill" came up at the Wild Sheep show in Reno. We are a couple of DIY guys who like to get out a hunt. I have no idea what to expect from the "Kings Hill" area or the Little Belts? Thanks in advance

Shoot me a pm with what you had in mind, such as rifle or bow, time of year etc. I may be able to give you some ideas about the area.

There's lots of public land around kings hill. Good elk numbers but lots of hunters. If you head that way take your fly rod. There is some great fishing lower down in Belt creek.
Are you planing on hunting block management for deer? If so pm me as one of the big ranches just sold and closed their gates on sept 15th.

Thanks for the info, I have heard the fly fishing in that area is excellent. We actually hunt private land for deer which is really great. I need to study some maps. Thanks

Just bowhunted the Little Belts this last fall. I've had good luck seeing and hearing elk during the bow season out there but have always fallen short on filling my tag that way. Didn't run into a lot of bowhunters this last year, however in previous hunts I have had plenty of competition. If you rifle hunt the area you will have lots of company.

That seems to be what everyone is saying. Thanks I will be rifle hunting. I've now came up with a couple of options in the area that we'll concentrate on.
