Had a great year hunting elk. Archery season was a blast and got close to some great bulls. Finally took this little guy.

My son Ethyn and I went on a tough 2+ mile hike to get on some cows. If ethyn wouldnt have been so excited I wouldn't have let him drop the hammer on this cow. I didnt have it in me to say no..haha. Made the pack out a little less painful knowing that I made his day.

Recently I was told that I need to focus on gratitude and be positive. So in closing, I'm very grateful to have the god given ability to be healthy enough to enjoy my passions (hunting/fishing). I'm also grateful for the people who have been and are in my life.

Congrats to both of you guys! And what happened to "the longest I've packed out an elk is a half mile" talk? I guess that's no longer true. And as to what you said about being grateful, I wish everyone would be more appreciative and thankful with what they've got. I'm also very thankful for everything and everyone that I have in my life.

Very Very nice. Congrats. I can't wait until my little one is old enough to put together some tougher hunts. It's been just the east stuff. Which doesn't really equal quality animal... But does count for quality time. An investment I guess is how I look at it.
