Elk hunt in Montana 270

I was wanting to know if anyone could tell me more about this unit? What is the elk population like? Any info on this unit would be appreciated. thanks. John W

Wolves have really stressed the herds the last several years. It was a general tag before they introduced wolves and have since switched it to a limited draw but I believe draw odds are fairly good.

Its a guaranteed tag if you apply. Calf recruitment has been up the past several years and bull to cow ratio is actually over objective. The elk are there. I hunted it last year, shoot me a PM with your questions.
