elk calls recommendations

can an experienced elk hunter give me some recommended calls for both cow vocalizations and bull. I am quite partial to using mouth Diaphragm calls since at least with turkeys you can make a whole lot more vocalizations you can't make with any other call. if it is anything like turkey calls, the quality varies greatly.

I use the Carlton elk diaphragms, they seem to work the best for me you can get the 3 pak big bull brown, blue is a bugle or a great cow call can do both which works awesome you do not have to change calls while do a sequence. Just my two cents

I actually use a lot of the same diaphragm calls for turkey and elk. To me there is little difference. That is what I use to bugle and cow call. I also use a Sleezy handheld cow call for a different sound. They work for me. I'm sure other will recommend some great calls. Whatever you choose, spend time practicing. YouTube has a gob of videos of actual elk making vocalizations so you can practice along to the sounds.

I have been really impressed with the Steve Chappel line of calls. He does some good videos too on calling so check those out as well

I use Rocky Mountain Game Calls. I think Steve Chappel designs some of their calls. I have been impressed with how easy they are to use. These are the first diaphragm calls that I have been able to use consistently.
