Your buddy drew a 201 buck tag? Good luck finding any deer. I heard all of the deer died this winter with all of the snow they got.

Sounds like the elk got hit just as hard. The elk and deer didn't die though they just migrated to Utah. Better start putting in for Utah, North Slope or Diamond.

I don't think Unit 201 was hit as bad as units a little further south and east...at least I hope not (see link below). We will be checking things out closely this summer.

Yes I agree.....I'm not finding any evidence of a bad winter for any region in Colorado.....bad being defined as more than normal winter kill due to weather........Id be interested to hear what others have seen

Thanks for the good wishes! I'll try to remember to give a full report on this forum.

I too wonder whether it is worth it. We got sucked into the preference point thing when you could expect to get a license in about 10 years. With preference point creep, it took 26. She almost dropped out several times, but felt she was getting close so stuck with it. Never dreamed it would take 26 years.

We felt the same way, started applying and thought we would draw in 8-10 years wound up taking 20. But the experience was worth every preference point. Allmost no other hunters and the Bulls were awesome. You will have a great experience, looking forward to hearing about it.
