Success! I either drew a GMU 61 Bull tag, or a Cow tag for the Crested Butte area. As soon as they update my preference points I'll know. Maybe later this week??

Slugz, what did you draw?

I still don't know what ML deer tag that I have, it is either a unit 44 or 35. I will be happy with either one. I do however have a ML cow elk tag waiting for me in unit 44.

Good luck on your hunts this year Jim. [emoji41] It was good to see you and talk with you yesterday at the taxidermy shop.

Yes it was. Now if I could build a small fire under Matt to get my African mounts done.;)

But then I wasn't expecting them until at least sometime this summer and it does look like he is quite busy this spring trying to catch up.

That is a once in a lifetime tag unless you are real young!

Sure like to know how you do on this hunt. A lot of times some of these high point units seem over rated. I hope it's everything you dream of, keep us posted after you get thru this fall. Good Luck.

Thanks for the good wishes! I'll try to remember to give a full report on this forum.

I too wonder whether it is worth it. We got sucked into the preference point thing when you could expect to get a license in about 10 years. With preference point creep, it took 26. She almost dropped out several times, but felt she was getting close so stuck with it. Never dreamed it would take 26 years.
