What are your thoughts on these two? I want to have a pack that can be a day pack but have the capacity to coyote out for a couple days and pack out an animal. This year will be my first attempt at backpack camping/hunting.

I absolutely love using my Blue Widow. It has been my main pack for several years. Very versatile. Also used it for training at pack weights of over sixty five pounds for 3 miles daily for a year.

On really really long pack ins to go lighter I might get the new Eberlestock f1 when it is available. Probably a 2015 thing.

I think both packs are good options. The advantages with your packs are you can try them on in a store. There are tons of new packs out there now. You should see if there are any forum members in your area and see what packs they are using.
