So, I spent the Opener here in Wyo moving, in fact I still am, but I'm anxious to hear how the rest of the brethren have done? Pics?

Man!! You’re right in the heart of duck killing territory! I’d be killin ducks every day if I lived down there!Using all my vacation time to start making hunts out West has caused a complete stop in my duck hunting here at home. Ya'll are going to make me start again..
Growing up in the 90's was absolutely incredible. I was fortunate to be able to hunt private flooded soy bean fields. Spoiled me for a while. Eventually my family started leasing the fields for crazy prices and I started hunting public land. Still awesome for a while. Honestly, one of the reasons I quit, it was just getting worse every year. Less and less ducks plus more people. It just got bad. Killed 1 limit the last 2 seasons I hunted combined. I've never really hunted down in the coastal marsh areas. I hear they still do good. Me and my buddy have actually been thinking about running up to OK or KS for a week to hunt public land but we've been talking about that for 2 years. Doubt it ever happens.Man!! Flooded fields would be fun!Growing up in the 90's was absolutely incredible. I was fortunate to be able to hunt private flooded soy bean fields. Spoiled me for a while. There was a single who didn't even know he was playing a game of catch and release...Hey Scott, how many goldies you get this morning?![]()
I totally get that. I quit duck hunting for a few years, got to the point where I just really couldnt stand the pressure, and the knuckleheads out in the marsh. Duck Dynasty had every bozo out there growing a scraggly beard, buying a half dozen flambaeu decoys, 4 robos, and a crappy kazoo and calling themselves duck hunters. The respect for the ducks, and for the other hunters just wasn't there.Growing up in the 90's was absolutely incredible. I was fortunate to be able to hunt private flooded soy bean fields. Your description of the knuckle heads sounds like you may have hunted in my area a few times. I have found that most duck hunters around here just don't show the same hunting courtesy that deer hunters and especially turkeys hunters do. I do need to get another puppy. If I did, I would probably start again plus my boys are getting old enough to start going. I have some easy spots I can go shoot a few woodies and the occasional teal or gadwall. I do want a mudboat!!I totally get that. I quit duck hunting for a few years, got to the point where I just really couldnt stand the pressure, and the knuckleheads out in the marsh. I'm back into it now, so much more fun with a good dog and good friends..... and an awesome surface drive mudboat!!
Todd and I were discussing how spoiled we are here. A ton of public land to hunt, fairly easy access and of course very few people to compete with. Did you guys see the video from the flooded timber opener?Your description of the knuckle heads sounds like you may have hunted in my area a few times.
