Now what if this whole duck dynasty thing was a cooked up mess to sell more stuff. think about it. why would GQ interview this guy? The whole thing came out a couple of weeks before Christmas, Just in time to sell ****loads of stuff on the internet. More people know about this show than ever before?


I have only watched 5 minutes of an episode one time, and the show wasn't for me. Personally I could care less what an actor of a scripted tv show has to say on screen or off screen.

lets hear it, who else thinks this was a publicty stunt.

Yeah it seems a little fishy, why they would ask a question like that when they know how he is with his religion. Almost like they knew it was going to happen.

Most of these "reality" tv shows are really not reality. They are scripted and written in advance and edited after shooting so they get what the producers want for public viewing.

There are a few I like such as the Homesteading Kilchers in Alaska. Just got back from Las Vegas and went to the G & S store where Pawn Stars is filmed. What a disappointment, not a lot in the store except for promotional crap (shirts, coffee mugs, bobble head dolls, etc). The featured "stars" are getting lots of money too.

It would not surprise me that this whole controversy about DD was planned and scripted for ratings and of course $$$$! I have never watched the show except a few minutes when it first came out and decided it wasn't good enough for me to waste my time watching.

GQ asked the question because they knew he would say something "controversial" eventually and that increases drama and ratings, $$. GQ crowd isn't interested in hearing about his duck calls or something "non-controversial" they need/want drama and are going to ask questions accordingly because that's what sells.

Heck, he's been preaching the same thing since the mid 90s. They knew what to expect out of him. Idiot, no...he just doesn't beat around the bush which is a habit most backwood people develop with age. Down here he pretty much symbolizes most white folks between the ages of 70-90.

actually no, I have been home sick and haven't even cared about this topic.
But people have been taking it way to seriously,
so I was just throwing another angle out there for fun. It is just a tv show, nothing more. And if I do insult people because they take this show to seriously, that was not my intent.


this thread is not about ethics, morals, amendments or beliefs. simply about poking fun at the tv show.
