Hey all anybody have any advice on the late archery hunt in 14c? drew it this year as my brother is a resident so will be hunting next of kin. looked into hunting with Freelance just not ready to cough up 14K on an archery sheep hunt with low odds. any info at all will help. I have a Buddy up there who can fly us before the season opens weather permitting.

Thanks In Advance A.j

That is an "Any ram" hunt as opposed to full-curl, so being successful is easier. I have a friend who hunted there and did well a couple years ago. Freelance would sure up the odds of getting a big ram. The area has some nice ones but they never come easy.

How many times are you going to draw this tag? How many times are you going to sheep hunt?

I would stack every odd in my favor. .02 YMMV

I wish you the best of luck. My dall sheep hunt is the pinacle of my hunting life. The best hunting there is. I hope you have as memorable a trip as mine. I walked about 100 miles and killed my ram at 5:15 pm on day 10 of a 10 day hunt. I couldn't have written a better outcome. I wish you the same.

Thanks for the advice guys. Ended up going DIY with my resident brother. Both of our first sheep hunts.
Couldn't have asked for a better hunt. I harvested this great 8.5 year old full curl on the first day of the hunt. already looking forward to my next sheep hunt!

That's awesome man, congratulations!! I was fortunate to get a Dall ram several years ago and will always be one of my best hunting accomplishments!
