Okay so with season less than a month away and everyone dreaming big... what's your dream hunt? Waterfowl? Upland? Turkey? Doves? Let's here the details.

For me I cannot pick only one so here goes.

Waterfowl - Texas Cranes, Arkansas flooded timber mallards, Kodiak Sea ducks, Canada grain field ducks and geese, Chesapeake Bay black ducks

Upland - Africa; the bird train, Texas/NM quail, Montana sharp tail on horseback

Doves - Texas Opening Day

Turkey - the slam in one month.

This is the first year in eons that you can legally shoot an Emperor Goose up here. Is that on anyone's list?

I'm not a big Bird hunter. Just a few things cuz they're different. Did cranes in Texas once a number of years back. And got a nice Swan in Utah 2 years ago.

I love to hunt Canadas field hunting over decoys with my Lab.

Next would be Chukkar and as long as I'm dreamin, with my dad and my long gone Springer Tuck.

Next on my list would be Valley quail in northern Baja.

I'm very lucky to have done some great hunts that I would consider "dreamy" ---

Drop Caribou hunt in Alaska
Canadas over the North Platte River in Nebraska (have a buddy who works for Cabela's...we hunted Cabela's land)
Tornadoes of orange legged Mallards over cornfield
Mallards over marsh with my old Yellow Lab
30+ years of Turkey hunts

Today my dream hunt is chasing Mule Deer.

I'm finally crossing the Arkansas timber off my list this fall, and cannot wait.

Not necessarily dream hunts, but I'd like to do a really good quail/pheasant hunt with my dad. He grew up a quail hunter, back when Missouri actually had quail. He quit hunting them when the populations dropped, and I've never gotten into hunting them

I've been fortunate enough to go on several great hunts for ducks and geese. North Dakota on a few hunts, Southeast Missouri rice fields, Arkansas timber, the swamps of southern Louisiana. My dream hunt right now is a Yukon Moose and a Grizzly.
