Very true MM!!

TG....I just seen "close to 30%" in the MRS and that's what I used. I assumed it was a +/- situation.

What fun is it if you know you will draw forsure. Atleast this adds some suspense to it!! lol I didnt even apply in WY this year. Buying points and see how things look next year!

Thanks TG!! Like I said....if we don't draw we should get to hunt antelope at least. And that would give us plenty of time to scout the area for MD.

Lots of antelope cuts, I can't complain about that, way overdue in my opinion. Are the goats still doing that bad, even with the mild winters? If so that is concerning.

I dont really worry about not drawing. If I dont draw I know of a few leftover and otc tags I can always get so I can hunt deer, elk, or antelope any year if I want to. May not be as good as a tag you have to draw but I'll be hunting anyways:)

Antelope were pretty much at an all time high several years ago and the G&F is just trying to get then down to what the available habitat will support in a lot of areas where the drought has been bad. Units that now have those cuts are at and some are below where they want them. There are a lot of units that still have a ton of animals as can be seen by the number of tags, especially doe/fawn tags, that are being issued.

Lots of deer cuts too, more then antelope from what i saw. Doesnt look very good and some units that were already hard to draw are going to get alot worse. I hope it turns around soon.

Well crap, I might as well expect a refund now, they cut 100 tags out of 75 for lopers. I had high hopes when I put in but not now. Guess I'll have to wait 2 more months to find out for sure.

If you're pretty sure you won't draw the unit 75 tag, you have until June 3 to modify your application. It just depends on how many PPs you have and whether you want to change to another unit with a better chance now that the tentative tag numbers are posted.

A buddy and I plan on using or 1 deer and 1 antelope point this year. We thought about saving up but we are still in our late 20's and are going to use this year to learn. So that hopefully when we do draw that great tag we don't go into it green and waste it. I just hope we can get the mule deer tag. Good luck to everybody else especially the ones not applying for the same units.haha

Just curious, how many points did you go in with? I seriously considered 75, and 74 for that matter. But went with 73 and I'm sticking with it. Good luck!
