Hi
I did introduce myself in the elk section but did not do so here, I live in canon city CO with my wife and 5 children 9-18
We moved here from amish country Ohio a little over a yr ago to volunteer for a non profit organization called New Horizons Ministry, mainly what we do is take care of babies who's moms had them while in prison,
We are primary whitetail nuts and pretty much know how to hunt those critters:)
Last yr we had our butts handed to us by the elk, archery.

This yr we each have a deer point and are thinking of applying for tags, my son would like a 3 rd season rifle tag for unit 49 here in Co but I don't know how to read the charts and figure out what his draw odds are for that tag ?
I know there are ppl here who could help me figure it out,
Thanks Matt

This is his Ohio buck from 2 yrs ago with his Bow.

With 1 point: 2011 97% 2012 90% 2013 80%. It looks like a few more people are applying each year but you still have a pretty good chance of pulling a tag.

Look at the draw summary to see how many tags there were (highlighted on first page).
Then look at the hunting recap to see how many applicants there were and how many points they had. All the ones highlighted in red had more then 1 point so they would draw before you. Yellow is everyone with 1 point. Last year there were 1340 tags. 312 applicants had 2 or more points leaving 1028 tags for 1284 applicants with 1 point so 80% of applicants with 1 point drew.
