So we had grilled chicken for supper that my wife bought on sale. During our meal my 6 year old asks ?Who killed this chicken?? Wife replied ?We bought it from the store?. Son said ?What?!? You can buy meat from the store??

The freezer is getting low...

That's great, made my day reading it. My youngest told me at about 7, his meat tasted funny. We laughed, it was beef...

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last week. Our kids were all excited to make us a nice breakfast that morning when I got home from work. They know I like chicken fried steak when we eat breakfast out, so that was their plan. (Their version of CFS was floured and pan-fried with some white gravy on the side.) When they went to the freezer for steaks, they came up with elk tenderloin. Fine with me; it tasted great. It was just what they found in the freezer, so we got elk tenderloin for our anniversary breakfast.

It's fun to see what kids think is normal.

Today was my 3 year old?s first day of pre K. My wife made him hold a sign for pictures with various fields like his name age and what he wants to be when he grows up. When I asked him what he wants to be he says he just want to ride sheeps all the time. Like mutton busting. He actually announced he?s moving out of our house to ride sheeps all the time, and that when he has won enough money he?s going to build a brick house and we can move in with him.

reminds me of a story I heard a kid ask about Milk...

farmer was talking to a father & son, and telling them he's a dairy farmer.... gets his milk from the cow.... the boy was astonished/grossed out!? you get your milk from a cow!? we get ours from the grocery store ;)
