So I?m new to the ?western? way of tags and what not. Being a whitetail hunter, there?s really no draw tags, except Iowa and a few other ?easy draw? states. In those states, you draw or you don?t draw, simple as that.
But I?m getting preference points in Colorado, New Mexico Arizona and Utah, for elk and mule deer. Some states have draw tags and OTC tags, and my question is, if I do an OTC tag does that wipe away my points? If I go hunt otc elk or mule deer in Colorado will that take my points away? I?ve gone head first into this thing and now I?m just really confused because it?s a lot all at once, putting in for points in 4 states with 4 completely different rules and procedures it can be overwhelming.
