there was a woman on the news this morning ,who lost her son in latest bar shooting, out of her mind with grief , shouting that she doesn't want condolences and prayers. she wants GUN CONTROL! and she wants it now!!!!!!!!!
don't know what that will help considering , the shooter was supposedly using an already illegal clip anyhow. not to mention that murder has been illegal for more then a couple of years now and folks keep doing it.

I would wish her loss on no one. and I understand that it is expected of us to feel compassion but to be frank ,my first thought when I saw her ranting was ,if your kid, was anything like you ,the shooter did the world a great service!

this is a perfect example of . "there is no such thing as common sense gun control!"

just a series of knee jerk ,emotional ,feel good , punishments for the innocent!

guns are not ,nor have they ever or will ever be the problem.

the problem stems from a society that embraces ,all things evil , then lies to themselves about why bad things happen.
when evil reigns ,stuff happens.
it is no great mystery!

Gun control laws only apply to those who obey laws, not criminals. No law is going to stop a deranged madman from committing murder.

Gun control is a well aimed shot!
say what you will of the shooter . he had no control of his emotions but it seems he had control of his weapon. he didn't even have to resort to one of them pesky assault weapons.

? is not any weapon used in an assault, an assault weapon?????

It is definitely a horrific incident and my thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones. Not to get into speculation or cause an argument, but he was a former marine. Which leads you to think he most likely had some form of PTSD. Time and time again, mental health/PTSD is a major problem in this country but everybody blames a gun as the culprit. Not the case. A gun is useless without someone on the other end pulling the trigger. Not sure why that's so hard to understand.

Sorry but PTSD is no excuse, I'm really tired of the progressive habit of finding some victim-hood catch phrase as an answer to just plain old human stupidity. And yes, I know what I'm talking about, I'm a retired Marine with some residual stuff that I have to deal with and I've never felt the need to kill people arbitrarily. The people I've known with extreme PTSD issues will actually blackout and suddenly be someplace bad that they experienced but typically that results in their screaming and yelling and trying to hide from the bad guys. It's instantaneous, they don't have any ability to function in the real world around them because they are "back there". They can't be in a flashback and go look for the handgun, load it up, drive or walk to the bar, and start shooting at specific people.

I saw a couple of the post that he made on social media and it was as if he was doing this because of lack gun control laws but in the post he was rambling one way and then another.

Problem is that those who want stronger gun laws will yell to get them even if they won't help very much. Here in Colorado they are already talking about passing the "Red Flag Law" that didn't even make it out of the committee last year, but now both the House and the Senate are controlled by the Democrats along with our Governor so they can pretty much do as they want, same as they did a few years ago.

You have my sympathy JimP. Thanks to the transplants in and around Boulder/Denver and other big metro areas and their habit of bringing their Liberal politics along with them, they seemed to have turned Colorado into Eastern California. No offense Cowboy, you ain't no Liberal.

One cannot feel and think at the same time.
most can. libs simply can not think , only feel!

I expect this will be offensive to snowflakes but truly ,they are merely victims off parents who passed on inferior genes.

Pretty much says it all. And then we look to Government to solve the problems that they created, I fear for our youth!

checkout @liberalgunclub on facebook/twitter, I think they have the sense for both sides, liberals who don't want gun restrictions etc...

might be a way both sides to come to the table.

PS- I heard the shooter used a .45

couldn't help but think, not an AR15, nor a 9mm high capacity pistol, unless he had big extended mags..?
ie., won't fit the standard coverage/gun...

That is basically what the law will be or perhaps should be.

But it could come down to a relative saying that uncle Joe is wacky and they tell that to a judge who then issues a order to take away uncle Joe's firearms until they send a social worker or someone else out to check out why they think that uncle Joe is wacky.

It could be a very slippery slope depending on how they write the law.
