Covered 40 wilderness miles ranging from 8700 to 12100 and back over the 4th in 3 days in Southern Co. We was whupped when we got done, went in with a 50 lb pack, planned to stay longer. 4 days is pushing the limits of a badlands 2200 for sure. Found some phenomenal elk habitat, but its 5 miles in and 3000 feet up from the parking lot, so I'm undecided if I could get a bull out of there in early September. Anyway, some pictures:
