It's always been correct for me, but I hope it's not and I get a tag in the mail. 67 3rd went from 9 points in 2012 to 12 points in 2013. Looks like 2014 it will be 14. What unit did you put in for?

Before the draw happened my deer points said 13, now my point total says 14. I'm pretty sure they would not update our point totals unless you didn't draw.

Just found a point I didn't know I had…. not that 2 pts is doing any damage.
Kind of like finding money in your pocket….. you hope its a $50 but it ends up being a 5.

"didnt draw and it a 70% no points and 100% 1 pt i now. have 2 pts so reallocation got us to.oyc elk here we come"
This was from a poster on archerytalk. If I'm reading it correctly, he is saying that he had 1 point going in. The unit last year was 70% with no points, and 100% with 1 point. He now assumes he didn't draw because he has 2 points.

I'm curious how many tags they removed/reallocated.

It's not showing much of a reduction. So that means we just had a year where a whole bunch of people cashed in points. Fear of the unknown for what the new system (if any) will bring?

14 shows to have drawn, don't know if 14 was 100% or not though.

I know for some units they seem to move license's to Private, while keeping the quota the same, but distribute more to Private Land. I really don't know how often they do this as I only looked on 2012-2013. While deer license's were about the same for this unit, the number of Public land tags decreased and the Private land tags increased. It was a significant amount to screw things up if you were a shoe in with 100% with 1 point, because 30% didn't draw with 1 in 2013. Hunter numbers didn't change. What changed was the tag distribution.

I will again be hunting up high in August!

Something to think about I took this from another forum.

Non-resident tags available that took 10+ points to draw: 164
Non-residents with 10+ points: 4,771

Resident tags available that took 10+ points to draw: 182 (57 were RFW)
Residents with 10+ points: 3,212

Non-residents with 9 points: 1,309
Residents with 9 points: 924

Another thing to note is that there were 80 landowner vouchers issued in units that took either residents or non-residents 10+ points to draw. None of those burned points. Next year you can expect another 5% to go to vouchers.

If you thought point creep was bad this year it is nothing like you will see next year if banking is reinstated.. This year a 1-2 point jump will be another 3-5 point leap if banking comes back.. When the roughly 8000 hunters who have built up roughly 80,000 points will start to realize they will never draw a top unit and start using them on low to mid tier units....

Pretty sure he meant the Hunters do not use their points to obtain Voucher Licenses.
that's bc the LOs have already used their points on them in their draw. Past that point it doesn't matter what happens to them, they can sell them or donate them to fatherless kids/wounded warriors/etc.

I've heard from another forum that the cdow has not completed the draw and that there is a problem with there system. People are seeing wrong point totals and some are saying they put in with more than 5 more points than they needed and it's saying they didn't draw? Is any one here having any of these problems?

No. I really don't see how they could have a problem, They have had all the apps (& our $$) for months. The only thing they really wait for is the number of tags to be issued and allocation as to where they go. Just my take.

You may be right...but I've made calls to a few people(that I trust) and from my circle of applicants. The point jump this year would be like nothing we have ever seen. It just doesn't seem logical that 2nd season deer units could jump by 3 points.
