I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience in this unit. Just in case my current hunting partner backs out, I'm trying to talk some friends into coming with me on my elk hunt in 98 which happens to coincide with general deer season. I'm using the fact that they can hunt deer as incentive. The harvest stats imply the unit is not very good. Is it worthwhile for a friend to accompany me and search for deer in the wilderness area?

I'm not sure of your residency status, but in designated wilderness a nonresident is required to be accompanied by an outfitter/guide. I do believe there is a provision for a resident to accompany the nonresident as well.
