I was able to get within 20 yards of these two bucks at the exact rock. Wind might have got me. I could see one bucks antlers and I knew the other one was under the rock shelf. They got nervous and got out.

This was the night before and we found this buck in a spot to stalk. My dad got an arrow in him but he was still jumping fences after a mile and he stopped bleeding after he got the arrow out. Pretty bummed as we think this was the buck he was on during archery season last year and we both passed on him during rifle.

Another pic of my buck under his rock I was above him at 20 yards

I found this buck Friday night and then Saturday morning. The buck was going to his spot to lay down when 4 or 5 coyotes ran him out of the country. I was able to find him that afternoon and made a perfect stalk to his bed. Steep shot that I had ranged at 32 yards but shoot 27. Fine, shoot low with 30 pin. I butt crawled a little closer and sat for an hour and a half. He finally stood up and I rushed my shot placing the 30 dead center if not a bit high. Arrow shaves a little hair off his back ugh! I go grab range finder and from my exact spot it was 30 yards, shoot 23. Damn!
