I guess I've let your Buckeye countdown go on long enough and will give the guys a little tip, LOL! The cutoff for appllcations for deer and antelope for NRs this year is at 5PM Mountain time on Monday, the 17th, as the 15th is on a Saturday this year. If you'll read the guidelines for dates, you will see that when application deadlines fall on a weekend or holiday they extend the deadline to 5PM on their next normal business day. Therefore, all you procrastinators out there have an extra 48 hours to make your picks this year! Good luck to everyone!!!

Well, good news. I finally identified the secret slammer deer unit I had been searching for so long, worthy of max points. It took a lot of PMing. But this will guarantee me at least a 190" buck. Got application submitted and good to go.> Deadline is getting close!!! <

I have never seen any fair chase hunt that guaranteed anything, much less guaranteed a 190+ buck.

I was assured by my MM PM's that this was the case. Once I draw and my hunt is concluded, I'll post the unit since I'll be unlikely to draw it again. On the other hand, if I get enough interest, I may start my own western big game app service. Maybe call it sumthin like.........Fool's Huntin Journal.

Land owner promised me a booner whitetail on his property, guaranteed. I was in the tree stand an hour before dawn, just as it became light I glassed him up in thick cover! Could only see his head, had to at least a 170. One hour later I was standing next to him after not firing a shot! Land owner had bought the head at a garage sale! I still am friends with him.

Musket Man - This land owner has no serious bones in his body! Called him and said I'd be out early AM to turkey hunt. Walking in before daylight I rounded a bend in the trail, their in the trail at my feet is a craft store turkey all fanned out with a note attached to it saying "Got one tied up for ya". Next step I saw the trail camera trigger. Next photo he captured was the "MOON" very dark and overcast that morning!!!!!

I'm sleeping much better these nights since my long quest for the elusive deer unit worthy of unloading max points concluded. What a relief. I thought it would never end.
