Has anyone had experience with the kuiu ultra 1800? I've never been able to find it in a store so I haven't seen one in person. Is it to wide for a comfortable day pack. I would only be carrying it if there was a chance of staying the night but I want it to be comfortable and small enough shoot my bow in yet large enough for my overnight gear. I have very small light gear.

KUIU sells directly through their store only. There is no retailer in the middle at all as a way to keep costs low for the consumer.

Brandon did a review of the KUIU Ultra 6000 in EHJ 142 that should be arriving in mailboxes as we speak.

I got to handle it in the office while it was here, lightweight pack system. I haven't used it in the field, but from what I saw it will be a decent pack system.

The 1800 is a pretty compact day pack, and if you will want to go overnight, you might as well get the 3000. It works great as a daypack too and you can easily shoot your bow while wearing it fully loaded.
