My dad is looking for a new food sealer, looking to see what people have that they like sub $300. I have a Vacmaster 215 and he doesn’t want to spend that much. He has a food saver brand, like me keeps burning them up. I’ve had no issue with my Vacmaster. He will use it a fair amount.

The first vacuum sealer that I had was a entry level Food Saver one like most retailers sell. When I burned that one up I upgraded to one of their heavier duty ones and have had that one for 15 or so years now.

I don't seale up as much meat now as I used to but it is still going strong. It seams like the cheaper ones only last a few years before they need replacement.

Dad and I would burn one up at year. Getting only two years out of one.

This is the one I have. I've had good luck with it for 3 years. I can usually run 5-6 bags through there, then need to give it a minute to cool down or it melts the seal all the way through on the bag. Now I just do everything in stages with 5-6... cut the roll, seal the bags, fill the bags, then seal the bags. Basically doing multiple things at once, but it gets a long enough break. I really like the rolls as well. Super easy to cut to whatever length you want and pretty affordable. I got mine on sale on Amazon I think, but Waltons runs them on sale from time to time.
