So I have a CVA Optima and plan on using it in CO this year for elk/mule deer. With installing a Williams peep all the reviews hold true about having to add a taller front sight. What sight would you all recommend?

I just mounted one of these on my T/C ProHunter. I have it sighted in, but have not had time to get back to the range and work on some loads.
The sight is called SeeAll. I really like it so far. It is a little bigger than I would have liked and needs to be mounted to a base. I removed all my original sights. But looks to me like it will be great. www.SeeAllOpenSight.com. Cost me with base and everything about $125.00 and I mounted it myself...easy to do. 001.jpg002.jpg

With your Williams Peep I would recommend an XS sights front ramp and and an XS Sights White Patridge front blade. Awesome sight picture, since the sight does not cover the aiming point and gives you a very well defined place to hold due to the white line. They aren't so light sensitive like fiber optics are. I've used this on my Knight and love it.

Which Williams Peep are you using on your Optima? I am using one of these from E. Arthur Brown on my Optima. It's a neat concept, but the peep seems too low for the Optima. Even with the peep fully adjusted up, I have to get my cheek tucked down on the stock and eye way too low and am even using the shortest front blade XS Sights makes.

I have a Marbles front sight ramp and 1/16'' gold bead and Williams WGRS rear peep sight and I am happy with the setup!

I am using just a Williams adjustable rear peep sight:
http://www.cabelas.com/product/Williams-Adjustable-Rear-Peep-Sight/740049.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=/catalog/search.cmd?form_state=searchForm&N=0&fsch=true&Ntk=AllProducts&Ntt=williams+peep&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products&x=19&y=9&Ntt=williams+peep&WTz_l=Header;Search-All+Products

And yes it does seem like the front sight needs to be as absolutely low as possible because the Williams peep doesnt adjust high enough..

I am definitely going to have to check into both of those sights thank you for all the information. I only wish Williams' peep sights were able to accomodate the standard front sight without having to put a shim under the peep or getting a new front sight.
