Coyote Prey - What is it?

Buddy capture this photo on the his trail camera a few days ago. I believe the coyote has a fawn in its mouth. What do you guys think?

Almost looks too small to be a fawn to me, I also don't notice any spots.

The fawns that I have been seeing lately still are spotted or very light spots.

I agree with Jim, too small to be a fawn. Trying to figure what the black & white stripe is....only thing I can think of that has stripes like that is a Badger. Maybe a young Badger? Could be a domestic dog or cat.

we don't have badgers but this pic came from a farm that is surrounded by neighborhoods so someones dog or cat would be very plausible.

I'd say it could also be a fox. The picture isn't sharp enough to see how "furry" its coat is, but it'd be about the right size.
