cow elk drawing question

Just curious how long it may take to draw a cow elk tag for a non resident in an average unit. I havent been able to find any draw statistics for cow elk and they are tasty tasty!

Trying to draw for 3 years. There's cow elk everywhere. If I draw i will be bringing one home for sure.

Just remember you can't apply for bull elk then.

i didnt know that thanks fopr the heads up. If I put in for the cow drawing can I still buy a bonus point for the bull tag? Or can I buy bonus points for both in the same year?

You can out in for cow depredation and bull I believe. But the cow depredation gave me a heck of a time. It was the "within 5 miles of the baker ranch" i believe. I gridded that 5 miles and pounded it with no luck.

I don't think you can put in for depredation bull and cow elk at the same time. It's one at a time wich ever you pick. I do believe you can buy points still if you put in for elk. Not for sure

I put in for bull Elk and the system would not put in for cow Elk point whats up with that. ?

Ive been wrong before. I can put in for bull dep. even when not eligible for regular draw. I thought you could do cow dep and bull dep. but i may be wrong.

I do believe it is either bull or cow, not both regardless if it is a regular hunt or depredation hunt. I normally apply for bull dep then hope there is leftover cow left.

Where have you been applying to get denied 3 years in a row???? What weapon? You should be able to get one every other year if not every year here in the NE.

You will not lose your bull points if you take one year off from applying and draw cow. I do believe if you do not apply for bull 2 years in a row you will lose your points.

This. I do bull only and once I kill my bull I will do cow.
