I'm looking at the First Lite Corrugate Guide pant as a Oregon, West Coast pant that will hold up to the brush. Have any of you tried this pant? Is it durable? How do you like it? How is it for breathability and moisture management? The Realtree Max 1 is on sale for 40% off right now. Is that a good pattern? I have a lot of Kuiu Verde now and I couldn't decide which would blend weather, Fusion or Realtree Max-1. I think the First Lite gear goes on sale Ciber Monday. At least it did last year so I might be able to pick up some Fusion this coming Ciber Monday. Input, please! I'm going back and forth on this one.

The corrugate guide pant is awesome! I put it to the test this year and was beyond stoked with it. I have worn First Lite since they started in 07', and they just keep getting better. The Kanab pant was always my main hunting pant, but I was hoping for something with more weather resistance etc..and the corrugate is exactly that. The material is quiet and stretches a little making it insanely comfortable to be hiking in all day. It is water resistant..not downpour resistant...so depending on where in Oregon you are using it, you will probably still want a full on rain gear if you are on the far west where it does nothing but rain! haha. But in honesty, the Corrugate is my go to pant for all september/october now. I will still use the kanab plenty in the summer, but I am truly happy with the guide pant, it is hands down my new favorite. . Realtree Max-1 is a green heavy camo, so if you are in western OR, it is probably a great mix. The fusion is awesome of course, but for the deals they have on the Max-1, it would be worth looking into. I personally run either ASAT or fusion. But I hunt Idaho, and western WY, where it is not bright green surroundings that have had lots of moisture.

Thanks mntnguide. Its a toss up between the Corrugate Guide in Fusion or Realtree or Kuiu Teton pant.

I think that I am just going to go with the Kuiu Teton Stretch Woven pant. I think those will be durable and cost much less.

Benjblt don't get those Tetons if you want a durable pant. I bought some last year and really tore them up.
They might make a better 'light' duty pant. I think the attack pants are worth the difference in price for the durability
And the side vent zips...my 2 cents.

My Tetons after my 7 day Colorado elk hunt

Tear in back pocket material
Wear by the front button from my belt

I liked them but they aren't as stretchable as other models...image.jpgimage.jpg

Don't buy them because they are more durable...they do cost quite a bit less so I took that in consideration. Also I only wore them 3 of the 7 days. I tried out some Sitka Ascent pants in clay.
No tears no snags to them...just some black marks where I hiked thru some burnt areas.
Won't get that color again...

Yeah thats why I was asking.....I hunt in Attack pants....son hunts in Sitka (only cause we can find kids sizes/small adult sizes very cheap)....I've personally never had any issues and have been so impressed with their customer service and over all quality we as a family are leaning more towards their stuff.

He had a prior thread described getting a ton of snags on the pant legs
Jdavis9753 is correct. I had a previous thread asking if anybody else had experienced snags. My pants snagged pretty bad when I wore them here on the West coast of Oregon. I have since talked to friends who have had the same problem in brushy country. I don't think it necessarily puts the immediate structural integrity of the pant at risk. It is just annoying and I think that they will where out a little sooner if they constantly get snags. I love the pants though. I just need a pant that is a little more bullet proof for the brushier stuff. I also have Guide pants. I thought that they would be a little more durable and I think they are but I've put a hole in them as well after only about 4 days of use. Its a small hole and, to be fair, I ran directly into a stick but I was being careful. I hope they turn out to be durable overall.

I appreciate all the feedback. I think that I'm going to look closely at the First Lite Corrugate's. I've heard they were pretty bullet proof. I wish I could hear from a few more guys that have worn them.
