Colorado unit 61 elk ?

Looking for opinions. Question is 1st or 4th season rifle? Here is the situation:

Looking for a 330 bull or better
Plenty of points to draw either season
Not enough points to draw a muzzle tag
Plenty of desire and ambition but medical limitations prevent "packing in" and getting hard core, 5-7 miles a day ok

Any ideas much appreciated

I would go first season. My girlfriend drew that tag two years ago but it was 2nd season. Needless to say we saw plenty of 320 330 class bulls and we had a few attemps to shoot one but we just had bad luck. The only two reasons i would go 1st instead of 4th is because most of the bulls have moved down lower into other units by 4th season, and during 1st season they are still in the rut and very callable. I hope this helps let me know if i can answer any more questions i have spent a lot of time in that area the last couple of years

So my Dad drew the 1st season bull tag and I drew a rifle bear tag. We've been over on one scouting trip and concentrated on the windy point and upper tabeguache areas. Any opinions or ideas?
