In case you don't know this year with your vehicle registration here in Colorado you will also get a Colorado State Parks Pass, this will be automatic unless you opp out when you register your vehicle.

Right now it is my understanding that they are doing away with the sticker that you place on your windshield, so you ask how are they going to know if I have a pass or oped out? I'm glad that you asked.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife has a App that you can download for your smartphone. Once this app is downloaded you can sign in to your account the same way as you do now on their web site. Once there you will see what they are calling "Privileges" your state park pass will be here along with your fishing and small game license. You just need to show your registration or the pass as you enter the state park. Any license that has a tag associated with it will not be on it so you will still need to pack that license in you wallet.

I just looked and didn't see on the CP&W web site anything about the app so just do a search on your smartphone for CPW app and it will come up. It is available for both android and iPhone.

If you didn't know about this don't feel bad. I knew about the vehicle and the state parks pass but I didn't know just what they planned to do as far as a sticker or letting them at the State Park that you have one.

One other app if you don't have it is the My Colorado App. On this app is a digital copy of your drivers license along with your vehicle registrations. You can also take a picture of your insurance cards. Right now I believe that Colorado is the only state that is accepting these digital documents but it's a start. The My Colorado App also has your fishing and small game license on it.
