First it was wolves, then came the wolverines. Now Colorado needs your help with ticks of all things.

Saw this on FB today.

Down here in SW Colorado, some areas are thick with them. Usually it is where there are cattle. Several years ago I was sitting near some oak brush having lunch while I was elk hunting. I picked 4 or 5 of those little buggers off of my shirt. I moved pretty quick. Usually during hunting season the cows are gone out of their grazing area in th National Forest and those ticks are looking for a quick meal. Be careful!!!

The only time that I have had a tick on me here in Colorado has been in the Spring or early Summer.

I've seen them on me turkey hunting and while working in grass and brush. But never in the fall during the archery and muzzle loader hunts.
