I'll be next door in 67 that week. Hope you knock down a giant. It's already getting hard to sleep, its gonna be a long 6 weeks.
With the amount of tags out there and the amount of quality deer, a warm season that has the deer not moving a whole lot isn't a bad thing. Cover a lot of ground and be slow and methodical about picking apart pockets of cover. It'll amaze you what people miss in spots that have been looked at 100 times for a few seconds through a sec of binos.I'm hoping their predictions are right with an early winter. I'll be chasing deer during second season and early snow would be great.
Thanks packmule! Ridn9high- I already have a hunt plan but out of curiosity which part of the unit did your research lead you? Not asking for specifics. Don't feel like you have to tell me anything either.
I agree 100%. I had to do that on a Wyoming hunt a few years ago. The first 3 days were in the upper 80's and sitting behind the glass to find the bucks in the thick stuff paid off. The deer weren't moving much and we had to look in areas that were hard to get to and sit on them before daylight, before the deer made their way to bed. With the amount of tags out there and the amount of quality deer, a warm season that has the deer not moving a whole lot isn't a bad thing. Ridn9high- did you try to pm me? I've had issues receiving pm's before.
