Anyone got any advice on unit 501 or any other units? I am a non-resident; will have 10 points. was looking at 22-3rd,not getting much help from huntin fool although march info. isn't out yet,i've heard most of Gunnison basin was hit hard last year;now point creep seems to be getting worse.Thanks,roundball

Lately 22 has been a gamble during 3rd with almost no weather. If good snow hits during season next year, it’ll be a very good hunt. If it’s dry like this year and last year, it’ll be quite a bit tougher. I used 9 points a couple years ago on another unit during 2nd season. Feel free to PM and I might be able to help you out a little.

Unit 22 has been tough the last couple of years just like Ridn9high said, but one of my buddies son's last year killed a 200"+ buck. They hunt it every with voucher tags and usually kill at least one buck over 180" every year.
As far as unit 501 I do not have any info on that one. Good luck on your search.

Both have good deer, but there are big deer in every unit in CO. Figure out the finding them part and you're due for a great hunt.
