Colorado GMU 75/751/553

I'm a retired Marine currently employed as a Virginia Deputy Sheriff. I will be headed to colorado for a September archery hunt. This is my first trip to colorado and also first elk hunt. Have the entire month of Sept off and looking at the Weminuche wilderness area, GMU's 75/751/553. If you've hunted these GMU's and willing to share some info it would be greatly appreciated. I hunted in unit 751 last year. Did see some elk, did see a lot of hunters. Of the years I have been hunting in the mountains I do not think I have seen this many the entire time. The beetle kill is really bad in the eastern part of the unit where we were (Over by the 76 line). I would not say I would not hunt there again, but not on the top of my list.
