Colorado GMU 66 3rd Season Deer Hunt

Hey guys, I finally got a tag to hunt mule deer in Colorado's gmu 66 3rd season and was wondering if anyone could advise me on whre to hunt. I'm not looking for anyone's honey hole, just a general idea of where to start.

Thank you. I'm from Fort Collins, so I plan to get down there at least two/three times this summer. Just like to know where to start.

Not for deer. We were hunting just south and above Powderhorn (ten mile). Saw elk, but just two deer (forkies). I did check out the sage flats just nortwest of Powderhorn and saw a lot of deer. The real nice bucks were on private, of course.

I'd check out the divide road that splits 66 and 67, hunt from powderhorn to Gunnison. Lots of deer and plenty of public mixed in between the private. I would strongly recommend buying a gps and chip for it that shows public and private land.
